I saw the PEPPERS Wednesday night, and it was a great show.? The Mars Volta opened, and let me just say that I enjoy their music…to a point.? Anyone who owns a Mars Volta album knows that?each song runs about 5 minutes too long.? When you see them live the mix is horrible, the songs are horrible, and everything is horrible.? People were afraid to come into the arena and spent the whole opening in the wings staring at 40 dollar t-shirts.? Biggest rip off – 10 dollars for 5 stickers.? Second biggest rip off – 20 for John Frusciante solo albums.? When the peppers took the stage, well, it was incredible.? They are the only band I know of that jams in the middle of their songs, you can tell that it is a different show everynight and they improvise amazingly well.? Frusciante may be the best guitar player out there right now, and FLEA could be the greatest bass player in the universe.? Anil – you gotta be reaching the end!? Let me know when the last day is.? Well all that is left to say is go tigers!

You gotta get BY THE WAY before you get stadium arcadium. Yeah, I liked frances the mule, it just pissed me off when there was two minutes of noise after the widow. But definitely get BY THE WAY, one of my favorite albums from the peppers ever. BLOOD SUGAR SEX is the ultimate though! Well, you can thank dave navaro for one hot minute, I think he lasted one minute with the peppers, and it sure wasnt hot.
music! ahh…im mixed on the mars volta – you’ve gotta be in the mood for it – but definitly jammable.
too bad it was a rip. today im in town – burdur, turkey…my last day army side is tomorrow!
