Mexico, Canada Trips Now Require Passports from US Citizens

The new rule took effect on January 23rd. Next time you leave for Aruba make sure that you are prepared with sunscreen and your passport.

Most travelers who forgot about the new requirement were allowed to enter after receiving a warning and a passport application. But their names were entered into the agency’s computer system, and they will be scrutinized if it happens again.

If you are one of the 80% that don’t have a passport yet, it will come equipped with an RFID tag (why that is bad here). But no fear, here are some ways to destroy it ;)
