Brody To Play Spock, Star Trek Movie Christmas 2008

I know that Matt Damon playing Kirk generated a lot of hate last time and I’m beginning to join that boat (I thought he’d make a good young James T. at first). More information is coming out about the movie (which is first denied by publicists then we are told is true) and here is the latest.

IGN Movies cites studio sources who have told the web site that the roles of James T. Kirk, Mr. Spock and Dr. McCoy may go to three very big name stars: Damon, Adrien Brody and Gary Sinise.

The film is going to be a prequel centering around the time Kirk and his buddies first meet and directed by JJ Abrams, the guy who did Mission Impossible 3 and Lost.
