As always, very useful information.
However, from my personal experience I don’t see why you would drive around in Europe if you are on vacation. Public transportation,inside cities, is awesome and trains are pretty cool too. On top of that you got discount airlines like RyanAir that would allow you to travel between countries for less than a 100 euros.
Thats my take.
