Seems like so many cities don’t target the population that lives in and around them! My local area here, Washington DC is the same way.

So many people around here I know haven’t been to the major or any minor sights…and there are more than quite a few to name!

I going to try to see more of what my local city offers – festivals, events, … In my case, Sydney has a rich array of things to do and they are often poorly communicated.

Not only do I think people will start to think about local travel options due to declining economic conditions, but it’s a blessing: is far too easy to forget the world right around us.

And in addition to taking pictures, written journals are a great way to capture thoughts and memories.

Great points. I’m guilty of always packing at the last minute and can’t even remember the last time I came to the gate earlier than 10 minutes before departure. This year, I know exactly what travel resolutions to make… and keep.
