I feel that the airlines are skimping on upgrades – even when passengers have been bumped from flights or left sitting in the airport for hours.

For under-booked flights some passengers (maybe the most frequent fliers) should be moved up to a higher class. After a taste of the high life more people who fly coach might be more inclined to purchase slightly higher tickets…or less, according to Rick in the video above!

You used to be able to get upgraded if you asked. And sometimes the flight attendant would come and ask PAX to move up. But i haven’t see that in years.
