There are a lot of sightings around the base itself but most military bases have a high incidence of UFO reports. In that part of the US I’d recommend New Mexico which has a very high number of UFO reports on a pretty consistent basis.

Roswell though doesn’t have too many reports of UFOs, except from tourists which makes me wonder. Your best route if you’re in the area is highway 40 between Albuquerque and Flagstaff. It’s where a *lot* of UFOs are reported each year.

I’m no UFO fanatic, but I would like to visit Roswell. Seeing it would give me a story or two to tell. I’m sure after a few pints I could embellish the tale with gusto.

What about Area 51 (or the town nearest). Not on the list?

That what I found interesting when writing this post as well. People who travel somewhere in the hopes of seeing something paranormal or just to be in a place where something (like a serial murder) happened decades ago.

The destination becomes the secondary point of the travel, which is unusual in itself. These towns, like Roswell, sure have made the most of it though – but generally the museums in places like these aren’t too good.

Good thing there are plenty of space phenomena we can witness from various places on the Earth without being disappointed, even if there are no little aliens there.

When I traveled, I met a bunch of people who were either dying to go to Roswell, or went. Regardless of which, I think they were very disappointed that no aliens greeted them at the borders with funky alien lays or other kooky stuff.

This isn’t about alien travel, but why do people migrate to weird locations to see some stuff, that might have happened ages ago. This goes for hometowns of serial murderers, rapist. They are finally caught and put away, and all of a sudden people flock to that town as the new hot spot.
