Always taking a chance when making predictions, but you gave it a good effort. I am glad to hear that the gloomy ones were wrong. I am like everyone else when it comes to Europe. I can’t afford to go there, so it is not cool again for us. Asia is the place for me. Looking forward to your next prediction.

It’s a good first place for Americans to get their feet wet to travel. So many similarities between Western Europe and the US, I might be wrong again

Thanks Emily, the fees are ok, I’ll take any of the non-life threatening scenarios. In a weird way I think the focus of many extremist groups on the airline industry helps people travel more safely since it’s the mode of transportation under the most security scrutiny.

Sometimes it’s good to be wrong, it would have been pretty gloomy had I been right. Maybe some optimism for my next set of predictions will turn out better in 2010.

I don’t know about the travel to Europe. For some reason, Americans have a love affair with traveling to Europe. I don’t think it will ever end!

While you did get some of these right, like more airline fees, I am indeed glad that you weren’t correct on all fronts! I also thought perhaps terrorists would take an interest in non-plane methods of transportation like trains, but am so thankful that is the case. I just hope in 2010 that airline travel doesn’t become so strict that it’s almost impossible!
