What doesn’t make sense is that I was about 2-3 kilos over as well but I only had one suitcase. So if I have brought in a second suitcase, put only 2kg of stuff in it I wouldn’t be fined. Now does this make *any* sense??

It’s obviously a “pain-in-the-ass” fine that has nothing to do with safety. If you can bring two suitcases, you shouldn’t be fined if one is a bit over.

They are just encouraging people to either bring more luggage or get fined…and how does either help the airline industry in the long run?
