Americans–lol–imbeciles. 88% have never left their corporation/(country). Only 12% have a passporte and it is usually a cruise, or Mexico /Canada.

I have one other hint – in most European countries, a standard outfit that will have you fitting in is to wear a simple black, dark, or even a jewel toned sweater or short sleeve blouse with a basic but dark wash jean.

For a day of shopping and cafes, you’ll look cute and polished.

I wasn’t saying that Americans need to be particularly fashion savvy when traveling, but it always helps to blend in with the people you’ll be surrounded by. If you blend in, you don’t draw as much attention to yourself, which just makes things a bit easier and more comfortable in a foreign country.
