Sights and Sounds From The DC Asian Festival 2008

The 5th annual DC Asian Festival was held in my backyard and I paid the free event two weekends ago. I began by watching a demonstration of the Philippine dance, tinikling.

Some trinkets on sale.

I eventually made my way to eating some chicken and satay.

A dog originally bred from China enjoying the festivities.

There was even a capoeira demonstration by the Yamasaki Academy. Although I didn’t see the Asian connection, it was entertaining. (The art is Brazilian in origin. )

Traditional flute sounds.

You can see the rest of my pictures from the 2008 DC Asian Festival here.
