I’m glad that the final had one small city represented. Almost all of Sydney’s rounds were close though, a vote or two in each round. Next year I hope to expand the contest, I hope you’ll enter too!

After all the tough competition through out the rounds and an extremely exhausting final, you have finally sneaked through by one vote.

I completely agree, that why I (especially for this contest) to go with the polls. It’s easy to vote and fun to watch the results. I don’t think that a contest like this could have an objective winner, or any of the contests I’ve run for that matter.

Number of tourists doesn’t necessarily mean ‘best’ either!

Result of this is somewhat similar to contests like American Idol and therefore should be taken in the right spirit, i.e. not seriously!

I’m sure that statistics such as # of tourists per year are in complete disagreement with the poll. But it was fun to watch the tournament. 🙂

I’ll be watching it unfold too. Negril has popped up on my radar too…and Australia is beginning to fascinate me as well. I’m reading a book right now about the outback. Another post for another day!
