I'm not a fan of the yogurt on cereal either but love the osthyvel which seems so practical - except that I tend to scrap way more cheese off that the Swedes usually do :)

I stayed with good friends in Sweden for a week in their house. Buying some stuff for dinner, I started cutting cheese with a knife to be told of this fabulous implement and that using a knife was extremely poor form and showing low class. Along with their horror that I'd put milk on cereal, rather than a special yoghurt, it highlights the wonderful and subtle cultural differences between places. An osthyvel was my Swedish "souvenir" and it is still used at home here in Australia (but I still put milk on cereal - the yoghurt stuff wasn't very nice at all!!!).
