There are a few for each airline alliance. If you can get a hold of these cards, they&#039;ll cover you across a many airlines and both major alliances:

Right now United (Star Alliance) is offering 25,000 miles for opening this card. Keep it open, then close after 3 months and use it once (min $250 total). Then add a family member as an authorized user, 5,000 more miles. That&#039;s a one way flight between two continents:

That card can be closed after 6 months if you don&#039;t want to keep it open or pay the annual fee ;)
