I’d recommend it, but just remember it’s not about all the pretty buildings and your normal touristy stuff, their is a great feeling about being in Manchester or at least there always has been for me (Some of that relates to united as well).

Another English city I’d recommend is Newcastle.

Manchester is on my list to visit Simon! I complained to my mother the other day that we never traveled much as a family growing up and she told me we’d planned an extended trip to Manchester and the surrounding area when my Dad traveled there on business a lot, however right before they purchased flights I started getting terribly car sick on any ride over 20 minutes. Needless to say they cancelled the trip over concerns I wouldn’t last driving around northern England. I’m unhappy with my 6 year old self haha. I’d love to go because my Dad always talked so highly of it, as did a colleague of his from there that came over for a bbq during a business trip and brought us Manchester United hats (I still have mine!)

I good strong showing for Guimarães in the preliminary round, I think a strong contender in the tournament.

For you’re general touristy things yes London has more, but there is more to it than that, Manchester has football fashion and music and that plays a major part in falling in love with a City.
