And yo, Imperator, cut me some slack! We’ve already discussed, Odessa and Romania are just not convenient friends. I know they want to be but until the train and bus connections get better, they will remain so close yet so far away.

Visas aren’t required of most EU nations, US, Canada, Russia, and nearly all of the former Soviet republics. (Plus Japan and a few others around the world.)

It could, but there isn’t much to see in the country itself. I would suggest two really good options in the region (which share the same qualities) – Bulgaria and Romania. They have the added advantage of being larger countries with more to see within their own borders.
