Definitely a good time, it’s like having the country to yourself as a traveler. And despite all the bad news, is safe to visit.

We were greeted warmly but the people there and taken care of by our hostel owner like we were a treasure. We are from the U.S. and still had this type of treatment. The people of Egypt need tourism and now while it is at a low is one of the best times to visit. While at the Great Pyramids there was not a lot of people and the majority were school children only. See it Now if you at all can.

They also said that it was pretty safe there. They wanted to travel across Egypt and even rented a car, but it was really scary for them to travel far from their hotel. So they didn’t manage to visit the Egyptian pyramids, but had a great time anyway.
