eSIMs are a good alternative and will probably be more widely available especially after the year-end new phone releases. A big time (and hassle) saver for sure.

We’ve been looking into them for future travel convenience. I love the idea of being able to not have to visit a local store or kiosk upon arrival somewhere. I was hoping Google Fi would offer this, but so far it’s only available on their Designed for Fi phones and not any others.
