Smokers Campaign In England, Indoor Smoking To Be Banned Sunday

Approximately 400 smoker’s rights activists are set to make their last stand today to urge the government to ease the upcoming smoking ban.

Smoking will be banned in almost all public places in England beginning July 1 (as France did earlier this year). It is unlikely that the government will reverse any portion of their decision since most of the public supports the ban. Second hand smoke has been classified a cause of cancer in humans (by the FDA) and causes 50,000 deaths in the United States alone annually.

The tobacco industry could have saved itself but instead they now market to minorities to make up for sales.
