Thanks for the feedback Heather. The prizes are a combination of my own pocket and some sponsors who pitch in. My March contest will have a cash prize and in the summer I’m hoping to give away a trip (but need to work it out so it’s not restricted to only certain areas). If it’s a trip I’ll try to get more than just the flight, hopefully I can get that organized.

I’ll also keep the Amazon information in mind as well and will look into using local sites if possible.

I think the contest’s fun, I trust you to choose the winners without favour & I think the prizes are pretty generous, if they’re coming from your own pocket, the benefit of Amazon vouchers is they’re universal. If you continue to give out Amazon vouchers then you might check where people are located, as Amazon.com is not great for Europe with large postage fees, & you can choose Amazon.co.uk or another local site. If you go for holidays as a prize, that’s great although I always check the terms – 3 days in a nice hotel somewhere isn’t much incentive for me if I have to pay my own flights & can’t share it with my nearest & dearest.
