Fingers are crossed for that. Hopefully they leave some of the vandalism in as well (crazy as it sounds) so we can see what the building has been through over the last 80 or so years.

I was Cairo for a few weeks and somehow I completely missed the Baron Empain Palace, so thanks for pointing it out. Maye when I’m in Cairo next it will be open to the public.

It really pops out at you in Cairo, it’s so different in style than anything else in the city. I would love to see the interior but it’s definitely been put aside for the time being unfortunately.
