Although it’s a bit of a (15 minute) walk from the bus station and not the easiest walk along the high sidewalks of San Cristobal de las Casas if you’re carrying luggage, the feeling, large courtyards, and cabin-style rooms make Rossco Hostel one of the most memorable I’ve stayed at. There is an open kitchen for cooking (breakfast is not provided at the hostel), a pool table, free wireless, and a nightly bonfire gathering. The atmosphere is social but I wouldn’t say it’s a party hostel, so you can get a good night’s rest if that’s what you’re in the mood for. Clean and comfortable, the Rossco Hostel is a great value in San Cristobal de las Casas.
