Usually I am advocating the benefits of information security but this news I ran across on Bruce’s blog made me think twice.
Recently,a California woman’s attorney convinced a court that the RIAA lacked sufficient evidence to bring a case against her for illegal music downloading because her wireless network was not secure and the RIAA had no proof that it was she who downloaded the files in question.
Nice hack.
