Let’s say that you are going overseas in like one week. You’ve been waiting around, checking online everyday in hopes to save a few more bucks. Then, merde! You need plane tickets, but don’t want to be completely taken by the airlines who charge you extra for the quick ticket.
As I written before – the best time to buy airplane tickets is on Wednesday nights, between 11pm and 1am in the time zone of the airline’s headquarters.
I have used lastminute.com to find some great (well, not as bad) deals at the very last minute. If you’ve got less that a week or so look for tickets that Wednesday before you leave for the best results.
FYI – they’ve just been bought by Travelocity. Let’s hope the deals don’t go with them.
