El Dahhan in the Khan el-Khalili souk in Islamic Cairo is where I ate “molokheyya” – pigeon stuffed with rice. I also tried a number of other more unique but classically Egyptian dishes at this restaurant which serves a high quality of food. Both the location, variety of dishes, and popularity with foreigners keep the prices higher than you’ll find in other parts of town.
