Simply put, the Agora Guesthouse is one of the nicest hostels all around I’ve ever stayed at. The rooms in the Agora are immaculate and the breakfast on the roof overlooking the Bosporus is wonderful for both the food and the view. The Internet at the hostel reaches all of the rooms and is a very strong signal. The Agora is on the pricey side however, one of the reasons being its location in Sultanahmet; the part of Istanbul close to it’s most touristic sites like Aya Sofya and the Blue Mosque. The walk to those and other sites is less than 5 minutes. (Sultanahmet is the part of town I recommend for many first time visitors on shorter trips to the city for this reason.) The rooms and the Agora Guesthouse are cleaned daily and the bathrooms are new and stocked with shampoo and soap – towels are also provided. In short, I would strongly recommend the Agora Guesthouse if you’re staying in Sultanahmet.
