Catalhoyuk is the largest and best preserved Neolithic site in the world. Finding this place isn’t exactly straightforward but a drive just south of Konya will have some stealthy signs to this impressive archeological site. Much of the artifacts found here wind up at the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, but seeing where they originated is a much more interesting experience. Entry to the site is often free, or just a nominal charge, depending on what time of the year you visit.
