WiFox is a map of airport wifi and lounge passwords from around the world that’s updated in real-time with information verified from other travelers, pilots, and reliable sources. WiFox is available for iOS on the App Store and Android devices on Google Play.

How WiFox Works
WiFox is based on my popular map of wireless passwords from around the world, letting users around the world add password information from airports as they travel. Passwords are then verified and added to the map, which is updated in real-time when you have an Internet connection. All of the hotspots are shown on a map, available for offline use, as well as in a searchable list view.
- Hotspot Information Includes – Airport, location in the airport or lounge, network name, password, plus any other details that might help you get online (e.g. “sit next to gate 47 for the strongest signal”).
All of the information is verified before being approved to the map – plus you can submit password changes as you discover them. WiFox also has a simple feedback system that let’s you vouch for working passwords or let me know one might need updating.
Other WiFox Features
- Copy Passwords Directly – Wifi icons on the worldwide map indicate if password information is available. You can find the lounge or terminal where wireless is available and copy the password directly from WiFox into your phone’s settings.
- Unlock Time Restrictions – Access points with time limits are also shown but WiFox shows you how to get around time-based restrictions.
- Updated In Real-Time – Travelers can rate password information, letting me know if it might need a update or send an updated password for verification directly through WiFox.
- Rating System Keeps Password Information Current – WiFox’s wifi icons are color coded to let you know how fresh and reliable a given access point’s password information is.
Upgrade To WiFox Premium!
WiFox Premium unlocks the following features!
- Automatic Notifications – Network name and password for an airport as soon as you arrive or land!
- Upgraded Rating System – Connections sorted by reliability and strength so you’re always on the best wifi option!
- View Connection Ratings – See what the best connections are in different parts of the airport to choose the best one for you!
- Add Your Own – Add your own password ratings within WiFox. Premium user priority ratings ensure the best wifi passwords are always displayed!
Available Now For iOS And Android
WiFox is available for download for iOS on the App Store and on Android on Google Play for $1.99. There are no in-app purchases or ads and airport wireless updates are free, for life. I’ll keep adding new features to WiFox, hotspots, plus other updates regularly based on your reviews. My goal is to help you travel smarter and get online in airports you might not otherwise be able to (or in airports that want to email you a password – before they let you online, ugh).
How many airports do you have on your map?
Over 110, with many more updates being submitted this week for review.
To update: there are now over 650 hotspots on the map.
Hi John, I’m sorry for the trouble. I resolved the temporary issue with a few upgrades to the servers so you shouldn’t have any more problems. Please let me know if you have any problems.
I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble. Please email me here with more details:

Congrats! Smart idea indeed. May I ask from where did you get this information? Have you been to all of those airports included on the list?
Thanks! Readers, WiFox users, and others submit the information. Although I’ve been to a lot of these airports, but not all!
Purchased the app, all it shows is a google map, shows no wifi spots or anything, even when trying to search a country / location nothing happens ???, so i have just paid for a world map (which is free anyway)
confused ?????
Please send me an email here with the device you’re using and iOS or Android version: https://foxnomad.com/wifox-report-bug/
Keeps freezing and crashing. Even after the ‘Airplane Mode’. Buttons don’t work.
Which phone are you using? I’m testing a patch now for release to resolve an issue with iPhone 4s, 5, and 5c (as well as iPad 2).

Feel free to email me and I’ll be happy to take a look at your specific issue:
https://foxnomad.com/wifox-report-bug/
iPhone 5 model MD641LL/A, iOS 10.0.2 build 14A456. WiFox freezes and quits at startup screen. None of the buttons work; get kicked out after 23 seconds frozen screen.
An update (version 4.0) to resolve this issue will be released to the App Store before the end of this weekend.
You can add info for BNX Banja Luka airport, free wifi 24/7
Thanks! Do you happen to know the network name?
on your maps, it doesn’t show any airport in France… What does it mean?
France is covered, with a few more locations added by WiFox users in the app.
Hi Anil,
Fantastic idea. Does the app include African airports? I’d love to join your team, it’s an amazing idea!!
The map is updated in real-time as travelers add information. Feel free to contribution here:
https://foxnomad.com/2016/04/26/map-wireless-passwords-airports-lounges-around-world-updated-regularly/
Or using the WiFox app. Thanks!
Thank you Anil, It works now. Congratulations!
I’m happy to hear it – and if you’re happy with WiFox, I would really appreciate your 5 star review on the App Store. Thank you!
So how can I get this on my windows devices?
It’s not available on Windows phones yet but it’s a request I’ve gotten often. I’ll keep it in mind for a future release.
I love the app! I have checked it at several airports in Europe (Poland, Germany, France, Sweden) and no problems! Wonderful idea and I will be happy to contribute! 🙂
Thank you so much! And I appreciate the review too 😉
Great initiative, Anil!
Once it’s installed in an Android, how can u download the Google Map (in order to use it offline)? I can’t see that option in the settings/menu!
Thanks in advance for pointing that out clearly!
Thanks for download WiFox, Geenom. On Android, you need to go into Google Maps, then select the regions you wish to download, tap the Menu button, then zoom and select download. Unfortunately this is a limitation on Android, in that to make use of the Google Maps, they must be downloaded offline separately. Let me know if you have any questions, thanks!
Is this only for airport private lounges or just the whole airport?
There wasnt app reviews on the iTunes Store to confirm and I wanted to check before purchasing. I won’t have access to private lounges.
Thanks!
Hi Amber,
The app has as many access points as can be verified by other travelers – both lounge and the entire airport. Feel free to post here if you have any other questions.
-Anil
It’s cool but is it legal?
Hello, please let me know if your app works on iPhone 4S iOS 9.3.5, location France.
Thank you
Yes it does! Any version of iOS 9.0 and above.
Thanks for your reply, I just purchased the app and tested on my iPhone 4S iOS 9.3.5. WiFox freezes when searching for an airport, after a while, it finally shows the requested airport. However, why it freezes?
Is it freezing when searching for the map? And how long is the delay?
You can also feel free to email me too: [email protected]
Today is quite different, at start up screen, only the WiFox logo (blue background) displays and quits after a couple of seconds, the map is no longer displayed. In the recent used apps of my iPhone 4S iOS 9.3.5, I can have a frozen airport list which also quits after a couple of seconds. Today the app is not working. Have you tested your app on an iPhone 4S? Can you fix this?
I have tested thoroughly on all of the Apple devices and supported OS. Please restart your phone, turn on airplane mode, then open WiFox. Then turn off airplane mode – this should temporarily resolve your issue – let me know if not. I’m currently in the late stages of an update which should speed things up for users on older devices.
Thank you for the trick, it works only on airplane mode on (it freezes on airplane mode off), after the map is displayed, it takes a few seconds to access to other options. Please let me know when an update to fix this should be available.
And all other apps are closed?
Yes, all other apps are closed. Awaiting your reply
Keep an eye out for the next update, it’s got some performance enhancements that should help. It should be available some time in the next week.
Thank you Anil, I will check during next week for this new update (iPhone 4S) and will keep you posted.
Why when I download wifox in CH play of my Android phone and fill in the number of debit card can not finish. I do not know what is postal code of Hanoi, where I live. I write code: “04” or “00844” are not accepted. What is correct code? So complicated.
I’m not sure? If you’re having problems with the payment processing it’s best to get in touch with Google, they handle those transactions.
Dash from Australia,
Hi Anil, I just downloaded the app and its great. Thanks
Thank you very much. Of course, if you have a free moment and would like, it’s a big help to get the word out when people leave positive reviews on the App Store or Google Play. Thank you either way and happy travels!
I have updated wifox yesterday to version 11.0 on my iphone 4S, it just works fine, thank you for your support, I will rate your app on itunes.
I’m glad to hear it, thanks for your feedback, patience, and I look forward to the review!
Just a hint: Searched for Munich and the plane was situated more or less exactly in the city center. Shouldn’t it mark the airport round about 20mls northeast?
Thanks for pointing that out. There’s a small bug in the Google map, I’ll see if I can resolve it.
What about a version that can be used with WindowsMobile?
There isn’t one currently but I’ve gotten a few requests and it might be a possibility in the future.
Any chance you have wifi passwords for Phoenix?
Yes, PHX is there!
I accidentaly shared a private wifi network password. How can I undo that shharing?
Sure, did you share it in the app? The hotspots are all moderated, let me know the network name and I’ll make sure it doesn’t go live. Thanks!
You can also email me the information if you don’t want it here in the comments:

How do I access internet with my IPad, at Calgary YYC Airport.
Thank you.
Are you using WiFox on your iPad? Using the search function (upper left corner) you can find Calgary airport by searching for YYC. Let me know if this answers (or doesn’t!) your question.
Why is there a charge for downloading the app when the users are submitting all the info
The information comes from a variety of sources – but to answer your question in a few ways. First, the web version is free. Also, the information is verified and updated by tens of thousands of users so the information is current. Plus I don’t think $1.99 is too much to ask for a life time of updates within the app, to the app, and to make sure WiFox keeps growing with features.
hi i have purchase the application but it came on my mobile with the Czech language as a difult, is there a way to change it into English
Are you using iOS or Android? Please email me directly: [email protected]
Can I get this on my laptop to use before going anywhere ? Or a file (text or csv) of what is available at the moment ? Something I can put into Excel, Access or SQL file. I’ll worry about updating it later, but for the time being, I’d like the list in a file on my laptop which I take with me everywhere & I don’t use phones, they annoy me.
Sorry, it’s only available in app form.

It’s the Travel club lounge at domestic departures.
Thanks, I’ve updated WiFox!
There is no Current Comment which make me doubt if the app is still working. Do doesn’t have Coverage in Nigeria and Liberia in Africa?
Kindly let me know as I’m planning a trip. Thank you.
The passwords in WiFox are updated on a continuous basis, the app itself on a regular basis, and covers over 1200 airports worldwide.
Tou didn’t answer my questions. I asked if the app has network or connection in Nigeria and Liberia both in Africa?
Network information is being updated continuously – for specific questions please send an email to support: https://foxnomad.com/wifox-feedback/
