The 64 year old German returning home from Egypt decided it was a better idea to drink an entire bottle of vodka at once giving it up at airport security or paying a fee to check it in his luggage. Since, well, you know, getting rushed to the hospital and having your stomach pumped to avoid nearly dying of alcohol poisoning is cheaper and less time consuming.
Must be a German thing.
