How to Unlock a Nokia Phone

Download this Nokia Free Calculator and you can unlock your Nokia cell.
Why would you want to unlock it?

Well, cell/mobile phones are locked by telephone companies so you can’t change your T-Mobile SIM card with a Cingular one for example. They don’t want you to be able to easily change providers.
If you are going overseas, you’ll want to take your phone (it must be Tri-Band), and use a SIM card from a European provider to save loads of money on getting a new phone or for paying long distance fees to Verizon or whoever your American provider is.
Unlocking phones requires entering a code using the keypad on your cell. The code calculator gives you 5 codes.
If the all 5 codes don’t work, your phone will not let you enter in any more codes. So go to any cell phone shop and for about $25-30, they can plug in a cable and unlock the phone.
Unlocking cell phones don’t erase anything and none of the settings are altered.

Hi i have tried to unlock my phone i have tried but failed can send me a step by step method to crack the code cause when i switch it on it says security code how do i crack it its a 2760 Nokia.

Hi. Nokia 2760 is not on the list of the Code Calcultor. Is there any possible way to unlock the phone without asking T-Mobile to do so. The IMEI is IMEI: 011796/00/198404/6 Please help. Thanks a lot in advance

Does that phone have a European equivalent? Check the instruction manual, perhaps it’s got another model number used in the UK you’ll find on that list.

  In the UK it was provided by Vodafone, Orange and T-mobile

    You might be able to unlock using the Nokia 2680, which has nearly the same software specs and is Series 40 software. Looks like a good bet worth checking out:

      Hi again. Thanks a lot for your quick reply and time but I am afraid the Nokia 2680 is not on the list of the Code calculator either. The closest ones on the list are 2600 and 2650 (RH-53) Thanks again for your your time.

    Is there a certain number of times I can try typing the code, since the first code given by the calculator didn’t work. And if the mobile gets locked after a certain number of times is there any way I can reset it or do something, so that I can continue trying codes? Well I can’t thank you enough I guess 🙂

      It’s usually 5 times before it’s locked and you need a hard reset. Usually you can find smaller mobile phone stores (not the official vendors) who can do that for you or unlock for a small fee if it doesn’t work.
