Entry into the monastery here isn’t allowed (though I’ve heard of some people being lucky) however there is a cave chapel about 50 meters down the path from here. There isn’t much to do in the small town below the hills of the monastery so be prepared for a few hours of wandering around if you don’t take one of the small mini-buses back from town. (But rather opt for the afternoon bus that stops directly at the path entrance to the monastery as I did.) Entry is free to all of the sites at Orheiul Vechi.
