Search through flights to and from the UK and get prices and routes? returned on a Google map with EscapeMap. Aside from basing the results on price, you can filter the results so you end up near the beach, or in an exotic place (New Orleans according the EscapeMap).
Unfortunately the deals only go to and from the UK – I love the interface, so hopefully they’ll expand it to more international destinations.
Keep in mind that you can still use Google to find cheap airplane tickets or actually search the international versions of popular online travel agents. After you get back, create a customized travel map to show off on your blog or MySpace/Facebook page.
