carnivalI’m hosting this week’s edition of the Carnival of Cities managed by Sheila of Family Travel Louge. Each submission covers a single aspect of a given city. I’ve posted a quick summary of each below and I encourage you to click through the ones that interest you the most.

  • The Mother of All Trips writes about an October in London with her 17 month old son.
  • This Sustainable Life tells us that in Vancouver, organic is more than just a word.
  • Living the Scientific Life shows us Dyeing Poison Dart frogs from the University of Washington in Seattle, and needs help with her preliminary plans for a trip to Helsinki, Finland.
  • Cirque du Soleil’s latest production, KOOZA is coming to Washington DC at the end of October. The DC Traveler was able to speak with the creator, David Shiner about the development of KOOZA.
  • The very business Travel Advocate is confident we’ll still be able to find airfare bargains in 2009, despite predictions of 6-8% average rate increases.
  • Escape from New York with these market photos from Tripoli.
  • Bars, baseball, and boats are some of the 10 things to do in Boston according to Rates To Go.
  • The Traveling Mamas lets us know about the free tours (through October) of the haunted Brown Palace Hotel in Denver, Colorado.

The next Carnival of Cities, on October 29, 2008, will be hosted by the Mother of All Trips. To enter, submit your posts covering a single aspect of a given city through the carnival’s submission form.

Blog carnivals are a great way to meet new travelers and I suspect many of you today may be new to foXnoMad. I’d like to welcome you by introducing myself and sharing with you some of foXnoMad’s most popular posts, including my pictures from Chandni Chowk, which appeared in the Carnival of Cities last month.

I like the post by the Traveling Mamas. Wonder if I ever have the guts to stay in a haunted hotel.

  2. Great round up. Thank you for including my post.

    @ Erica:

I’ve always wanted to stay at the Farnsworth House Inn Hotel in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania – the town itself is said to be haunted.

I’m pretty sure if I ever did my mind playing tricks on me would make sure I “saw” and “heard” things ;)

    Here’s a link about it:http://www.allstays.com/Haunted/pa_gettysburg_farnsworth.htm

    @ Wendy:

I’ve quickly become a fan of your blog – thank you for the great content!
