Popular Mechanics did a study of each commercial plane crash in the United States since 1971 and found that passengers sitting in the back had the best chance of surviving an accident.
There is a 20% higher survival rate for coach passengers according to the study, although the sample size was limited to only 20 flights.
Hi Anil,
Interesting finding to me. The most expensive seats (business class) have the lowest surviving chance compared to the normally cheapest seats at the back. 🙂
At least there’s one good reason to take away from being cramped up in tiny seats 😉
