Normally luggage can be a pretty boring topic unless you happen to be shopping for new bags, so despite many offers, I rarely post reviews. The Micro Luggage Scooter though has a feature that you don’t see on many carry-on luggage…although you’ve probably got a good guess to what that is from the name. I was able to take the bag out for a spin a few weeks ago in a short stopover at Reagan National Airport in Arlington, Virginia just across the Potomac River from Washington D.C.
Believe me, I can see how scooting around could get quickly addictive and one of you can find out for free on that very Micro Luggage Scooter I’m zipping off on above. Details in the video.
That is such a smart idea! I love it!!
So did I win?
…yes you did, you were the first! I’ll send you an email today to get your contact information. Enjoy!
Yay!!! I can’t wait… I wonder where I will take it first. I think I should plan a trip just to put it to good use!
I like that kind of thinking!
This looks like a pretty nice bag. I’ve been on the look out for a small carry on sized bag with wheels, so this comes at a good time! Thanks for the review!
Glad to hear it Cassi; the Micro Luggage Scooter sounds just like what you’re looking for!
COOL!! Up to what size laptop will it hold?
It could easily hold a 15-inch laptop and I’m guessing a 17-inch too (though not sure if anyone still travels with those!)
I’ll stick to my jaktogo thank you”
You’re welcome?
@neverpayextra works for the company and is trying to generate brand awareness maybe? It just seems a little arbitrary to compare the two… Very “apples and oranges” …and I personally think there is room for both products in every traveller’s life. (note: I am a Marketing Manager in the Hotel/Travel industry)
I think so; I was considering deleting the comment but figured leaving the comment up doesn’t do them any favors either 🙂 I agree, there are many products out there and travelers should pick and choose what works best for their particular circumstances.
Jaktogo is hilarious. I would never have checked it out if you had deleted it from your blog. It looks like it could be a saturday night live skit, and a much more affordable option to a fat suit. Regarding the micro luggage scoot bag, i just bought one for my dad and I’m concerned that its difficult to ride. What was your experience?
😀 I didn’t find the scooter tough to ride, the only thing to keep in mind is that since the back has 2 wheels, you can’t turn by leaning as you would a regular scooter. Other than that it was very comfortable (and fun) to zip around the airport with 🙂
I love it. Can you see the airport of the future with everyone on scooters?
It would be so elegant, like their video, though I don’t think I could do it with the coffee in hand!
Ok. Very Cool. I have been thinking about this concept for a while and I ‘m glad to see someone actually made it! My question is around airport rules. Before I plunk some cash down for this I was wondering if anyone has experience with airport security having issues riding a scooter around at the airport. I dont really passengers using other forms of wheeled transportation unless they are handicapped.
When you tried it, did you scoot by any airport authorities? thx
I didn’t have any issues at all – and I was there quite a bit filming (many takes!) to draw enough attention! Only one security lady noticed and she smiled at me as I scooted on by her 🙂
I’m not the first : ( but still a great review.
Thanks Kevin and sorry you weren’t the first – maybe though for some other cool travel gear I give away down the line you will be 🙂
That is really cool. IT is a shame I didn’t run across this post sooner so I could have won. Really neat, how fun would it be to be able to scoot around the airport, it would make it more fun to change planes.
Sorry you weren’t the first 🙁 but you’re right, it makes me feel that way too – almost want to be a bit late for a flight so I could scoot in right on time!
I like how this is for adults as well, why do kids always get to have the fun with luggage: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Trunki-Trixie-Ride-on-Suitcase-Pink/dp/B001A29DPA/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1334412702&sr=8-15
haha, yes! Although a adult size Trunki would be hilarious 😀
How ingenious 🙂
But it looks shaky…
I needed some practice 😉
I LOVE the MICRO luggage scooter! Truthfully, my son took it over, but everyone asks me about it. It fits under the seat or in an overhead storage. I think it is more of a crarry-on than an overnight, but if you are a savvy packer, maybe an overnight. I do wish it was easier to turn (steer).
The turns definitely need some work for better steering control when you’ve got to weave in an out of crowded airport traffic.
Sorry I wasn’t the first to comment. Awesome scooter, carryon. I want to get one for my mom.!!! She’s an 85 year old lawyer who is always on the MOVE!
I’m sorry you weren’t either! It’s such a great bag, let me know if you end up getting one for your mom.
