Breast Milk No Longer Threat Either

On the same TSA page noting the ban on lighters is to be lifted August 4, is another notice that breast milk is good to go as well.

From their site:

Q. Why is breast milk not a threat?
A. Breast milk is a medical necessity and it is being classified as such. It must be declared at the checkpoint.

Q. Do passengers carrying breast milk need to taste it to prove it is not a liquid explosive?
A. No. We will not ask a traveler to taste breast milk.

The second question is priceless.

Lighters Allowed Back On Planes August 4

Smokers rejoice! On August 4, 2007 lighters will no longer be prohibited on flights to, from, and within the US. (Torch lighters will continue to be banned.)

Around 22,000 lighters are confiscated around various checkpoints across the US. Having them lifted by security agents doesn’t really provide any additional security as matches? are allowed on airplanes and mostly because you need something worth lighting.

If the TSA catches the larger threats (aka. bombs, explosives, etc.) then bringing your Zippo along isn’t a problem.

Back Tomorrow

With more posts, pictures, and perhaps some video. Everyone needs a summer break, hope you’re enjoying yours!

Of course stories, flings, and other warm weather gossip is welcome in the comments 😉

No good tales – make em’ up!

Hope You’re Having Fun!

…And if you’re not, you will be after reading this! In honor of aop1980’s absence, (he’ll be in Sweden and Germany for a bit), I decided to change this Friday’s post a little. Instead of the usual “Dirty French Word of the Week,” I present you the dirty Swedish and German words of the week! These will definitely come in handy in those certain G-rated situations (i.e. while at work) 😉

Jidder: Swedish word for “bullshit”.
“Aop1980 smells like a monkey, and that’s no jidder!”

Dumpfbacke: German word literally meaning “dumbcheek”. Basically the equivalent of dimwit, stupid, or boring.
“Aop1980, you’re such a dumpfbacke!”

**Note: I have nothing against aop1980, he is only the butt of my jokes because I care about him. 😀

Google For Cheap Tickets

Google has integrated its search capabilities with those of the major airline agencies to find you the cheapest tickets.

If you like searching several of the popular airline ticketing sites when you’re looking for cheap tickets, Google’s integrated a nice feature into their search that identifies when you may be looking for tickets and provides direct links to searches on sites like CheapTickets, Expedia, Hotwire, Orbitz, Priceline, and Travelocity??like this search fro San Francisco to Tokyo. Google can be used to hack your next trip, find out which destinations will be underwater in 10 meters, and calculate business trip millage.
