Finally Up and Running

It’s been a bit of a struggle to maintain the site for the past 2 weeks or so due to the trouble I was having with my Belkin POS router. I went out and completely upgraded my network and switched out the router to something much more fancy.

Problems solved for now, let the posting begin!

The Golden Monkey Has Been Found!

A friend of mine, we shall call “Jaffer” has located the origins of the mysterious and magic Golden Monkey Wine. The Golden Monkey Wine appeared in my fridge a few weeks back and we threw a party to celebrate its opening.

Doing so caused a comotion that you can read about here.

We had not been able to determine what part of the magic universe the Golden Monkey Wine came from.

Now we know: Wegman’s.

Bring on the love…

Stealing Money Couldn’t be Made Easier

Well, without meaning too that is. Now before you get the NSA breathing down my neck let me explain. I went to United Bank a few days backto deposit some cash for a friend overseas in the UK.

Ok, yes, it does sound sketchy, but it’s not really. I’m not commiting any crimes with 5 dollars so hold your horses everybody.

I didn’t have any information with me. No account number, no SSN, nothing – I’m not even a United customer. What I did have was a name and an address. I was depositing money into the account, so no problem there right?

How about the fact that the reciept had the account number printed on it
?

Now what if one were to place a phone call to United Bank to see how they verify customers over the phone?

Guess what information they request to authenticate you.

Phew, Got Out Just in Time

I was in Myrtle Beach this past weekend and I heard right now that there is a hurricane, er excuse me, tropical storm hovering over where I was getting some rays only a few days back. Maybe that’s why I’m so happy in this picture.

Or perhaps there was a sale at Macy’s.

How to Unlock a Nokia Phone

Download this Nokia Free Calculator and you can unlock your Nokia cell.
Why would you want to unlock it?

    • Well, cell/mobile phones are locked by telephone companies so you can’t change your T-Mobile SIM card with a Cingular one for example. They don’t want you to be able to easily change providers.
    • If you are going overseas, you’ll want to take your phone (it must be Tri-Band), and use a SIM card from a European provider to save loads of money on getting a new phone or for paying long distance fees to Verizon or whoever your American provider is.
    • Unlocking phones requires entering a code using the keypad on your cell. The code calculator gives you 5 codes.
    • If the all 5 codes don’t work, your phone will not let you enter in any more codes. So go to any cell phone shop and for about $25-30, they can plug in a cable and unlock the phone.
    • Unlocking cell phones don’t erase anything and none of the settings are altered.

      Bon voyage!

      Star Trek Thesis

I wish I had done a thesis on this topic and won the coveted chancellor’s prize for excellence from Melbourne University.

“I was interested in where myths turn up in less obvious forms, and there wasn’t much work on the early years of television and its relation to myth,” Dr Baker said.
