Germans EcoTourism Keeps Them At Home

It’s an interesting concept – using lower emission forms of travel and not leaving Germany – all in an effort to reduce holiday travel CO2 emissions.

Giggling by the sea – and lying topless in the sun – are Martina and her three environmentally friendly colleagues.

Like many Germans, they’re keen to cut down their carbon emissions, to do their bit in the fight against global warming. So instead of taking the plane to Majorca, they’ve taken the train to Mecklenburg.

It seems as though many Americans already do this, though not to cut down on carbon emissions. Calculate the pollution each trip creates, green your car, and offset your carbon emissions. Yahoo also has great advice for your day-to-day lives.
