The cost of upgrading the 4.2 million of England’s closed circuit cameras is around 1 million dollars. The fines for not complying have not been determined.

Solar-Powered Backpack

Next time you’re lost in the woods wishing you had charged your cell phone, remember you could have bought a solarpowered backpack. Many of these bags have all of the cords and cables built right in to juice up your iPod, cell phone, or other electronic gadgets. Most can’t power up a laptop and each back runs around $250.

I wonder what type of attention all of the wires inside might attract from airport security?

The Great Turtle Race

The Great Turtle Race has begun and you can follow the plight of 11 leatherback sea turtles on their journey home. This 100 million year old tradition occurs every year as the leatherbacks make their way back to the Galapagos Islands after laying eggs in Costa Rica.

Pick your favorite and see who makes it back first (personally I’ve got pink). Only 90% of the world’s leatherback sea turtles remain so catch this while you can.
