If you are in the area:
The Center for Eurasian, Russian and East European Studies and the Azerbaijani Student Association of Georgetown University present an exhibit of Azeri Art. You can get more information from the official website – if you can’t go, no worries, I’ll try to make it out there and bring back pictures for you 😉

That is nearly twice the European average.
If you don’t have a passport (no matter your nationality) go out and get one. They are not more than $20 for US citizens and the process is rather quick and easy. If you can travel outside of the country you live in, take my word for it nothing else you do will open your eyes as much.
Until then, stay tuned to us here at L’avant Poste. I’m working on getting more stories and pictures for you…hmm foreshadowing am I? Perhaps… 😉

Otherwise this will happen:
I wish this picture could capture what a mess this created.
I decided to be productive today, you know the weekend and all, so I decided to do some cleaning. During the cleaning process I thought to myself,
boy, those pillows haven’t been cleaned in a long er…they’ve never been cleaned!
So I asked myself, “how do you clean pillows?” Well, “just like everything else! In the laundry machine!” Well be advised that if you do this, all of the stuff that is in the pillow will be outside of the pillow, and you’ll have a bigger mess than when you started 😳
This is why I believe the educational system is flawed – I should have been taught this in school. What?? You say that I should have already known? Well, I didn’t – and bet you didn’t know either, at least until now!

Has been updated from a brick shack to one of the largest airports in Europe. I landed in Ankara on the last day the old airport was in service – and left in an immense new one. A capacity of 10 million passengers (per day), certainly an upgrade.
If you are planning on going to visit about $40 will get you from the airport to the city center which is roughly 33km (21 miles) away.
Be advised however that a cup of coffee will cost you about $4 US.

This is very old, but I thought I’d tell you the trick to saving the characters you create (as there is no save function) — just use a simple PrtScn then paste the image into MS Word, or MS paint (for you Windows users).
Then you can crop, print, and save the image.
